Today I wanted to share this recipe that has become my staple for the Summer. I personally quite like to add some antioxidants and phytonutrients with my drinks, but at zero calories and no sugar.
This iced detox tea is delicious, fresh and thirst-quenching. It will give you a bit of energy while at the same time supporting your natural detoxification system.
For this recipe I have used classical English Breakfast Tea, but you can use any type of tea you like.
Few healthy tips
- Choose organic tea
- Choose loose leaf or sachet ( to limit micro-plastic )
- Use a glass container. Acid like lemon juice can corrode plastic and help release toxic substances. I normally use a recycled “passata” glass bottle.
Healthy benefits of lemon and ginger
Lemon and ginger do not need an introduction! Both support the detoxification system with lemon having more antioxidant properties thanks to its Vitamin C content.
Ingredients

- 2 teabags English Breakfast Tea
- 2 inch Ginger root peeled
- 1/2 Lemon juice
Instructions
- Brew the tea, adding slieces of the ginger root.
- Let it cool off, and then tranfer the tea in a glass jar or bottle and put in the refrierator.
- To serve, squeeze some fresh lemon
